Daniel P. Hassett, MBA

Vice President

Mr. Hassett joined American Business Consulting as Doctor Relations Coordinator in 2009.  Prior to commencing work for the company, he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Economy at Michigan State University, and completed his Master of Business Administration at Hult International Business School in London, England.  Following exemplary work on several projects, Mr. Hassett was promoted to Vice President of the company in 2011.  He continues to coordinate the efforts of team members and vendors as they perform the company's services to clients, and he contributes to ABC's strategic planning.  Mr. Hassett is particularly satisfied to see doctors who were formerly associate employees become business owners for the first time.

In his spare time, Mr. Hassett enjoys varied activities, including traveling, volunteering in his community, tennis, and clay shooting.  Most importantly, he values the time he spends with his family.

John Sharisky

Project Manager, Construction

John Sharisky has spent over 20 years specializing in project management for constructing practices in the dental industry, and American Business Consulting is proud to offer his services to our clients.  A proud Ohio resident, John has overseen the creation of over 300 offices across the United States.  Originally attached to a large practice management company, since 2006 John has been a true asset to ABC and especially our clients, as his guidance is instrumental in dealing with the numerous subcontractors and vendors necessary to complete a practice. 

When not diligently directing a project to a successful completion, John enjoys fishing on Lake Erie, following college football, and vacationing with his family.

Francis L. (Cisco) Dowdell, Jr.

Project Manager, Medical Division

A graduate of the University of Cincinnati, with a BBA in Marketing, Cisco Dowdell brings 30 Years experience in medical sales/marketing to American Business Consulting's medical clients. He has worked with Fortune 500 companies such as Johnson and Johnson , Carl Zeiss, United States Surgical Corporation (now Covidien), and Medtronic. Mr. Dowdell's expertise includes distribution sales management and marketing B2B both domestic and international, as well as familiarity in areas of all surgical instrumentation, supplies and equipment, interventional suites, endoscopy, anesthesia, and med/surg with several certifications in most areas. He is proficient in Sterile Processing and Distribution, supply, procurement strategies, and design-in facilities, whether existing or new construction.

Adeel Akhtar

Director of Human Resources

As American Business Consulting continues to grow, the company desires to enhance its full line of services offerings. Adeel Akhtar, as Director of Human Resources, is responsible for all client HR services, including payroll and benefits administration. With his skills and knowledge, ABC is confident that clients will be able to attract, maintain, and develop their human capital to achieve a competitive edge in their respective markets. He comes highly recommended, with experience at industry leaders ADP, JP Morgan Chase, and Paychex. Adeel received his degree in Marketing Strategy, from Temple University. In his spare time, he supports a variety of charities and causes, including the United Way of the Texas Gulf Coast.

Brandon Herndon


Brandon Herndon is one of the highest producing insurance agents in the country.  He prides himself in helping ABC's clients manage the risk of everyday life, recover from the unexpected and realize their dream of practice ownership.  He and his team of agents go above and beyond to help the client's needs.  Brandon and his team will be there for your practice's needs and your family's personal insurance needs as well. The products offered for clients include the following:  Auto, Home/Renters, Health, Life, Business and Financial Services.

Daniel Tran

Real Estate Broker

Daniel H. Tran, a commercial real estate broker specializing in retail centers and office buildings, is available to provide our clients with outstanding real estate resources.  With Mr. Tran's assistance, clients can find more site options, and secure a lease or purchase agreement that has been negotiated to their advantage.  
Mr. Tran is a candidate member of Houston/Gulf Coast Chapter of CCIM, a commercial real estate affiliate of National Association of Realtors, and previously served on the Gulf Coast Chapter of CCIM Committee of the CCIM Institute.  He is also a member of the Houston Association of Realtors and the Texas Association of Realtors.  Additionally, Mr. Tran has been a member of Greater Houston Builder Association (GHBA) and has attended several classes to become certified in building inspection and codes.  

While licensed to work nationally, Mr. Tran has earned the professional designation of Texas Real Estate Broker and has completed all of his classes and completed his resume of experience to earn his certified commercial investment member (CCIM) designation.  His previous experience includes positions with an Insurance Company and as a Mortgage Consultant.

Lorena Williams

Practice Enhancement

Originally from the Mississippi Gulf Coast, now residing in Slidell, Louisiana with her 2 daughters, Lorena dedicates her time to dental offices all over the South and as far north as Connecticut. She has 16 years of experience in the dental field, both clinical and administrative. Lorena is American Business Consulting's practice management consultant as well as a software trainer for Dentrix Dental Systems and a hi-tech trainer for Dentrix Image. She focuses on "Helping Dentists Enjoy What They Do" by simplifying the necessary systems. Lorena will customize services to meet the very different needs of each dental practice.

As ABC's Web Services partner, John Horrell lends not only his artistic talent to site design but also his 10 years of real-world experience.  This mix allows us at ABC to offer superb web development, from rich design and layout to search engine friendly coded pages, engrained with the latest technologies to make your new website fresh, searchable and most of all - easy for your visitors to use.

John has a degree in Graphic Design and another in Design and Visual Communication.   He worked in the private sector for more than 13 years, honing and developing his skills.  In early 2010 John partnered with ABC, offering clients accessible custom web design and hosting services integrated with his one-of-a-kind content management system.

Over the past several years, our client base grew while the content management system, or CMS, matured.  Now, with a robust set of features and an easy to understand, plain language approach, ABC's clients reap the reward of having a beautiful, functional web presence that they manage and can grow as their business grows.

Jason Harrison

Wealth Management

Jason Harrison offers comprehensive wealth planning strategies to individuals and small businesses. His specialty is Retirement & Business Planning along with Estate Planning services, with experience in establishing Defined Benefit Plans and other strategies for both individual and corporate clients. For over 12 years Jason served as an Investment Counselor for large international financial institutions like Smith Barney and Morgan Stanley. In 2003, he established his own full-service investment firm, Harrison Barnes Financial Management. His move to ZT Insurance from Harrison Barnes served to offer the combined client-investors access to a wider range of products, services and expertise. By focusing on his relationships and alliances with major insurance carriers such as Penn Mutual, ING, Lincoln and Met Life, Jason positioned ZT to be a leader in the Insurance Services arena.

Jason works with numerous clients and he has a solid record of integrity and success with clients ranging from individuals and small businesses to Fortune 500 companies. He  studied Marketing and Finance at the University of Houston and is a Licensed Insurance Agent.
